Why You Should Recycle

“Reduce, reuse, recycle” is the popular term heard often today and is now a part of everyday life. Recycling is the processing of used materials into new products to prevent the waste of useful materials.

Benefits of recycling (save money and the earth at the same time)

Reduces the consumption of new raw materials. This gains in importance as our limited resources become more scarce. The world as a whole needs to focus on preserving our limited materials, so our children and the future generations have the same opportunities and resources we had.

Reduces energy usage. This is becoming an essential part of daily life for most countries. Whether it be carpooling, walking to work, energy efficient lights, or even timers on your appliances/lights, saving energy helps tremendously. You are not only saving the earth from toxic vapors and gasses, but helping yourself live a healthier life.

Reduces air and water use. We breathe air and need water to survive. These two elements are key in the longevity of human life, and by preserving them, we are helping mankind to live in to the future. Words can simply not describe the importance of clean air and water.

Lowers greenhouse gas emissions in comparison to virgin production. As we all know the earth is slowly getting warmer. The Greenhouse effect was and is not a hoax, and needs to be taken very seriously given the impact it is having. The warming of our earth effects our water supply and air quality directly and is a very important aspect of a healthy earth.

3 Reasons Why You Should Recycle
